The Antworks Ant Farm is a high tech biosphere habitat for your entomological studies. Encased in a clear polymer enclosure, your ants actually live and tunnel in a clear gel that makes them visible at all times. Quite remarkably, this very same gel that your ants call home, also serves as their food stuff, containing all the necessary nutrients and moisture to sustain the colony. But I'm sure if your ants are good, you can throw them some cheese wiz or a belly-up beatle every now and then.

The optional illuminated base gives your ant farm added visibility and produces a funky space age glow. It's great for an educational or experimental project, and is just as well suited for a conversation piece. The lighted LED edition is now available in a choice of Blue, Red or Green.

The Standard Kit ant farms have all the following features without the lighted base. The Blue, Red and Green LED models include the pictured lighted base for optimal viewing.
